The jigsaw pieces were put into place at Jerez testing, but we are still a long way away from the final picture. The Valencia tests gave us the first indication of what the 2011 season might hold, Jerez has given us a few more clues. Let us briefly break it down for you...
The Top Three
Williams driver Rubens Barrichello posted the quickest time on the fourth and final day of the F1 testing at Jerez Circuit. The Brazilian veteran set a time of one minute 19.832 seconds on Sunday. Kamui Kobayashi of Sauber was 0.769 seconds behind, and Fernando Alonso of Ferrari was third fastest in 1.21.074.
Heidfeld vs Senna
Renault tried out Bruno Senna who came in fifth fastest in one minute 21.400 seconds, a day after Nick Heidfeld made his case clocking Saturday's fastest lap. So who will replace the injured Kubica? It still seems unclear.
Under Pressure?
World Champion Sebastian Vettel finished eighth...hmm, any comments?
It's easier to make a fast car reliable than a reliable car fast. But at the moment Force India Don't look like they're winning either battle.
Nico Rosberg revealed that the car they were running at Jerez - or in his case, running and stopping - was still a long way from the Bahrain version. ''This is an interim car, it doesn't have a lot to do with the car we will have in Bahrain.''
F1 is fast becoming like Poker Nights, everyone unwilling to reaval their hand.
Second pre-season test, day four, Jerez de la Frontera, fastest times:
